Summer Menu Rollout at Pinnacle Restaurant
Having been voted Best Restaurant of 2008, the Pinnacle Restaurant at Falkner Winery continues to impress and improve. Beginning May 1st this beautiful hill-top, Wine Country restaurant will launch their new summer menu.
Based on customer feedback, executive chef E. Dennis van Rumund and his staff introduce numerous delicious and unique new items to the menu. For example, new appetizers include New Zealand Green Lip Mussels steamed with a concasse of fresh tomato, chopped garlic, shallots, lemon, and Falkner Viognier wine; also added is Coconut Shrimp served butterflied with a spicy plum sauce; another addition is a traditional Salad Caprese with fresh mozzarella, sliced tomato, basil pesto, and aged balsamic dressing.
The summer menu includes more salads, sandwiches, pastas, and entrees. Departing from their normal Mediterranean/American food, Chef Dennis is introducing a new Asian Shrimp & Noodle Salad the consists of marinated shrimp and capelli pasta with field greens on a won ton wrapper served with red bell peppers, carrots, cabbage, and his signature Sambal Oelek dressing.
Visitors may want to try the new Cajun Chicken Salad Sandwich, or Shrimp and Crab Lasagna, or Coconut Crusted Hawaiian Ono, or 1 pound Pork Porterhouse Steak, or, for the hearty eater, the Grilled “Baseball Cut” 12 ounce Sirloin. Finish your meal with the new Ricotta Cheesecake and you will visit frequently just to try new items.
The Pinnacle has a great international wine list to accompany all your dishes with specific wine recommendations for each item. With 22 wines by the glass and wines from Temecula Valley, Napa Valley, elsewhere in California, Australia, Italy, and Spain, diners at the Pinnacle can relax in in-door or balcony comfort while enjoying the spectacular views from this stunning hill-top restaurant.
Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch at Pinnacle Restaurant
After a very successful Easter Brunch, Falkner Winery announces that they are offering a special Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch on May 11th.
All food will be prepared by their Executive Chef Dennis van Rumund and his excellent staff. This will replace their normal lunch menu. As the name implies, Champagne will be part of the meal along with other beverage options. The Brunch will include items such as:
- Deluxe Carving Station featuring Beef Wellington and Slow Roasted Pork Calvados all sliced to order
- Omelet/Egg Station for made to order selections
- Pasta Station offering a choice of red or white sauce made with your choice of selected ingredients
- Fresh Seafood including Shrimp and Crab Claws
- Lobster Mac & Cheese
- Italian Chicken Cacciatore in a Mushroom Marina Sauce
- Oven Roasted Salmon Florentina in a Lobster Prosecco Sauce
- Cheese Blintzes in a Blueberry Compote Sauce
- Smoked Salmon with onions, capers, tomatoes, cream cheese, and bagels
- Belgium Waffles with many options
- Apple Smoked Bacon, Sausage Links, and Home Fried Potatoes
- Assorted Specialty Fruits and Cheeses
- Salads with Various Additions and Dressings
- Numerous Breads and Breakfast Pastries
- Assorted Vegetable and Potato dishes
- Dessert Station with numerous cakes, pies, cookies, and Chef’s Creations
- Special Children items
All guests over 21 will receive a complimentary glass of Champagne or Mimosa. Non-alcoholic beverages are included at no additional charge. Cost is $59.95 per person plus tax (Wine Club members are $54.95+). Children 6-12 are $29.50 plus tax (Wine Club $24.95+); Children under 6 are free.
Additionally, selected wines and champagnes will be available by the glass or bottle at discounted prices. Reservations should be made by calling the restaurant at 951-676-8231 ext. 104. Reservations are available from 11 am – 3:30 pm.
Falkner Winery is a premier winery in the Temecula Valley Wine Country.
Since opening in July 2000, the winery has gained distinction for
its high quality wines, large unique gift shop, wine tasting classes,
and private venues such as parties and weddings. The opening of the
Pinnacle Restaurant and Banquet Center adds a great dining experience
to their appeal.
The tasting room is open daily from 10am to 5pm with tours available on weekends and by appointment. The Pinnacle Restaurant is open for lunches from 11:30am to 2:30pm daily and dinners on Wednesday for 6pm to 9:30pm.
